Harvester 1070G 4W and 6W

The John Deere 1070G harvester, available in the 4 or 6-wheeled version with Harvester heads options H412, H413 or H414, offers you ergonomics, mobility and high productivity in early thinning’s operations in all resin forests.

Length 6,50 m
Transport length 11,5 m
Width 2600 mm (600-series tires)
Weight, min. 16000 kg
Tractive force 130 kN
Work pump capacity 160 cm³
Rotating and leveling or fixed cabin
Control system TimberMatic H-16

The engine, hydraulic pump, cooler and tank package are located in the rear frame in reverse order which lowers the rear frame design and improves visibility backwards.

Cabin noise level has been reduced by locating the cooler fan to the rear end of the machine frame.

With the new design, the service components are easily accessible.

FT4 diesel engine

John Deere Final Tier 4 engines meet the required emissions regulations. John Deere’s FT4 engine is very fuel efficient, total fluid consumption is clearly lower compared to IT4 engine.

The John Deere FT4 engine has the most torque in its class and a wide rpm range. The engine’s rpm remains steady during big and rapid changes in the load. The FT4 engine and the entire fuel line can use 20% biodiesel.

Adaptive Driveline Control

Adaptive Driveline Control is a software-based control system which improves drivability and boosts productivity of John Deere G-Series forest machines. The system adjusts engine RPM's automatically based on engine load within driving RPM range. The minimum and maximum ranges are set in TimberMatic. The system provides high and stable engine RPMs during high engine load improving the utilization of engine power during simultaneous driving and boom usage. High engine RPM's are used only when needed, decreasing noise level and fuel consumption.

Engine power management prioritizes work pump over drive pump: engine RPM’s and the hydraulic power delivered to harvester head is maintained during simultaneous tree processing and driving.

While processing a tree, the system adjusts engine RPM's based on the processing power control settings. Adaptive Driveline Control is a unique standard feature only available from John Deere.

The TimberMatic H-16 control system for John Deere G-Series harvesters includes everything needed for base machine control and monitoring, measuring and bucking in one configurable user interface. The use of just one system makes the operator’s work faster and easier.

Several pressure sensors have been added to TimberMatic H-16, making it possible to adjust most settings from inside the cabin – and even without tools. The pressure sensors make machine adjustments and condition monitoring easier via the machine’s on-board PC.

Work and transmission pump pressures delimbing knives feed-roller arms.
Additionally, the new software version enables Remote Display Access (RDA) via Internet (either MTG or other modem). RDA means faster troubleshooting by maintenance people and thus improved uptime for the machine.

The new control modules simplify the electrical system and bring added processing capacity. TimberMatic’s troubleshooting diagnostics have been improved. The new troubleshooting diagnostics of TimberMatic H-16 speed up the fault localization significantly. With the new MECA controllers, it is now possible to see the exact location of the fault in the CAN-bus and the repair is quick and easy. In the TimberMatic display, an error icon comes up and when clicking the icon, you see the CAN-bus showing the fault location. Moreover, the system shuts the output to the sensor or actuator, if it detects overload or short circuit, and the machine can go on working. This improves the uptime quite considerably.

The double CAN bus increases reliability of the electrical system: simple, fewer connections, a dedicated bus for the engine and the base machine.

A rotating and leveling or a fixed cabin
Cabin comfort is a productivity factor. The cabin of a John Deere forest machine is a comfortable and ergonomic work environment. The cabin is available as fixed or rotating and levelling version.

The levelling and rotating cabin helps the operator to maintain the correct working posture to prevent stress on the back and shoulder areas. The operator can sit upright even on uneven terrain, and the cabin can be rotated in all directions to face the work area. The cabin has more legroom in front and the seat has two different height settings.

The proven and efficient vibration absorption improves the working conditions further.

Leveling and rotating functions are an option in harvesters. The cabin is fixed if these options are not chosen. For meal breaks, the cabins feature a mini oven and refrigerator. The cabin’s interior materials were chosen with ease of cleaning in mind. The leather-like material on the interior pillars is easy to clean. The neoprene wiper blades are more durable than natural rubber blades.

The ergonomic seat, air conditioning and heating, sun visors and sun blinds, and side widow wipers add to cabin comfort. Plenty of light is needed during dark hours, so the positioning of the lights has been continuously improved to enhance visibility during the autumn and winter.
